Hip Pocket plays an enticing mix of instrumental versions of familiar Jazz standards made popular by artists such as Michael Buble’, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat “King” Cole, as well as Latin Jazz, Bossa Nova, Samba beats and funky grooves.
Hip Pocket was formed in 2001 and is led by saxophonist Adam Rohrlick, a multi-instrumentalist with over twenty years of experience as a professional musician. As a freelance musician and sideman, Adam performs on guitar, saxophones and keyboards. He is also a skilled producer, arranger, songwriter and music teacher.
Adam has performed as a sideman with Michael Buble’, Dal Richads, Colin James, Jim Byrnes, Michael Kaeshammer, Mike Reno, Lee Aaron, Amanda Wood and jammed with Russell Malone (guitarist with Diana Krall) and members of Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz At Lincoln Centre Orchestra.
