Comedy’s lovable Queen of Mean, Lisa Lampanelli will be bringing her hilarious insult comedy to the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
Known for saying things that most people are afraid to think, Lisa has been described as “an equal opportunity” offender by The New York Times. Her rise to the top of the comedy food chain began in 2002 when she was the only female comedian invited to skewer Chevy Chase on Comedy Central Presents: The NY Friars Club Roast. She went on to become an audience favourite on the network’s highly rated roasts of such celebrities as Jeff Foxworthy, Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, David Hasselhoff and Donald Trump.
Lisa’s one-hour special, Take It Like a Man premiered on Comedy Central in 2005 and was a ratings hit as was her follow-up special, Dirty Girl which was later released on Warner Bros. Records. The album reached #4 on the charts and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for 2007’s “Best Comedy Album of the Year”. Her feature film appearances include Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Delta Farce and The Aristocrats. In 2012, Lisa finished in the Final Four on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice raising over $100,000 for her charity.
