Multiple-Award winning Canadian country bands The Road Hammers and Doc Walker will be cranking out hit after hit when they’ll both be performing at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Saturday, July 11, 2015.
Formed by singer-guitarist Jason McCoy as a side project, The Road Hammers released their debut self-titled album in 2005 reaching #1 on the Country Album charts. The Platinum-selling album featured the hit singles, “East Bound and Down”, “Nashville Bound”, “Girl on the Billboard” and “I’m a Road Hammer”. After winning a Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year, the group went on to tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd and became the subject of the TV reality show, Making the Band which aired on CMT Canada.
The band decided to go their separate ways in 2010 but reunited three years later. Their most recent album, Wheels was released last year and spawned the hit singles, “Get On Down the Road”, “Mud” and “I’ve Been Everywhere”.
Hailing from the prairie province of Manitoba, Doc Walker first emerged onto the country music scene in 1997 with the release of their debut album, Good Day to Ride. Since then, they have released seven albums and have earned numerous Canadian Country Music Awards. Their chart-toppers include “I Am Ready”, “The Show is Free”, “Rocket Girl” and “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me”.
Last year, the group released their most recent album, The 8th which produced the Top 10 hit, “Put It into Drive”. The album also included the hit singles, “Shake It Like It’s Saturday Night” and “That’s How I Like It”.
