Second Annual Ultimate Car Show
July 21, 2015SECOND ANNUAL ULTIMATE CAR SHOW DRAWS THOUSANDS OF FANS AND TOP SPECIALITY, HOT ROD AND MUSCLE CARS FROM BC, ALBERTA AND WASHINGTON STATE
COQUITLAM, B.C. – Some of the best exotic, classic and muscle cars in Western Canada turned out for the second annual Ultimate Car Show at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Saturday.
The event, which was put on in partnership with Canada’s premiere custom car company, 360 Fabrication Inc. of Abbotsford, drew over 350 vehicles ranging from home built vintage cars and hot rods to million dollar muscle cars presented by the country’s top custom shops. The free, family event was attended by well over 10,000 car enthusiasts of all ages.
“It was great to see so many families coming out and spending the day enjoying great cars, entertainment, food and fun,” says Hard Rock Casino Vancouver Executive Director Raj Mutti. “The atmosphere was fantastic and it was a great day from event opening right through to the evening show in our theatre by Count’s 77.” Count 77 ‘s front man, Danny “Count” Koker stars in History Channel hit Counting Cars, and is a fan favourite with auto enthusiasts across North America.
Prizes were awarded in eight categories, including a $2,500 winner-takes-all prize for the Best in Show which went to a spectacular 1957 Chevy from Abbotsford. “The quality of the cars was incredible,” says 360 Fabrication President Rick Francoeur. “The winning car was built by the owner over ten years and it was fantastic to see a BC car take the top prize.”
All proceeds from the event, including the $20 registration fee went to support SHARE Family & Community Services Society, Hard Rock Casino Vancouver’s signature charitable partner. “We’re so thrilled to have raised $6,000 for SHARE,” says Mutti. “It’s a charity that does such important work in our community and we are proud to support them with this event.”
Planning is already underway for the 2016 show, which will include even more prizes and family friendly fun.
